At Andrea Couceiro Counselling, my mission is to provide high-quality counselling to individuals experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties.

I am a person-centred psychotherapist, which means that at the heart of my work is you—your experiences, your feelings, and your journey. My approach is built on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely, at your own pace.
I believe that every person has the inner resources for growth and healing, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering
empathy, understanding, and support as you navigate challenges and discover your own solutions. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you, cultivating self- awareness, resilience, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself.

Well-being is at the heart of how we experience our lives. It influences how we think, feel, and relate to others, as well as how we respond to stress, change, and challenge. When we feel well within ourselves, we are better able to navigate life with a sense of balance, resilience, and self-awareness.
Emotional well-being is not separate from our physical health—both are deeply connected. One of the most fundamental aspects of well-being is sleep. Quality sleep allows the mind and body to rest, restore, and process the day's experiences. Without adequate sleep, it can become harder to regulate emotions, think clearly, and cope with everyday pressures. Prioritising rest is not a luxury; it is essential for maintaining both mental and physical health.
Nutrition also plays a vital role in our well-being. What we eat provides the building blocks our bodies and brains need to function effectively. A balanced diet can support energy levels, mood stability, and overall health. When we nourish ourselves well, we are more likely to feel grounded, focused, and able to engage fully in our lives.
Equally important is finding a healthy work–life balance. In a world that often values productivity and busyness, it can be easy to overlook the need for rest, connection, and personal time. Creating space for relationships, hobbies, and simply “being” rather than “doing” helps to prevent burnout and supports a more sustainable, fulfilling way of living.
Well-being is not about perfection or constant happiness. It is about developing awareness, compassion, and a supportive relationship with ourselves. Through this, we can begin to understand our needs more clearly and make choices that honour our overall health and well-being.
